Struggle with Democracy or What?

On a one fine Sunny Winter morning that too on a weekend, when most of us are lazily enjoying Morning Tea and Coffee in our beds and watching News Channels, A war was on at India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan, Raisina Hills.

All praise to that group of courageous young boys and girls who taking on a ruthless police force who are taking use of Water Canon, Tear Gas and Lathi Charge to disperse them.

An incident which has shaken all of India protests are going on in almost every major city and at the same time there is one Panchayat which attached a price tag on women of Rs 150000. Even after 65 years of independence this kind of incidents are disgraceful. How can we call ourselves the biggest and greatest democracy when the voice of the public has been heard once in every 5 years only.

What example can be more prudent to this that at a time when youngsters are protesting in the tough winter and facing water canons and brutal lathi charge of police none of the political leader forget about ruling party not even from opposition party came to stand by them as a support to give them a sense that their voices will be heard.

Sometimes it also feels that the demands made by this courageous group is more or less an impulse wants to act against several people ( those 6 rapists), some wise people suggesting to amend the laws for more stringent actions against such culprits.

Most of these tasks relates to the after maths of the incidents and based on to induce fear in those minds who even think of doing it. But no body is interested in thinking about those laws which are stringent and still no actions have been taken by the police force against the culprits rather it has played a role of defending the accused most of the time so making a law stringent will not help the cause anyway.

However, the most crucial thing at this moment is to stop this kind of heinous crimes. Which requires an effective control and utilization of our police force and other law enforcement agencies otherwise this exercise of making a strong law will go in vain.

What we can summarize from all this that our politicians are ruthless, emotionless, brainless and selfish that is why political parties are giving tickets to the accused of murders, rapes and other criminal cases. They are not leaders who can lead this country to a really shining India to a really growing India.

These politicians only talk and divide the country by Caste, Religion, language and region. They always talk about bringing in reforms in the Police and Administration process but they are too busy in economic reforms for the betterment of that 15-20% population which contribute to the donations for their election campaigns.

Where are these so called women leaders Ms Sheila Dikshit, Ms Sonia Gandhi etc who never shies to talk about how they always speak for the women rights. Ms Sheila Dikshit coming on national channel crying and saying and am ashamed and tell me what can I do I am doing whatever I can???

This is so pathetic that a leader like a CM of Delhi is making such a statement. She has to demand to the Congress chairman Ms Sonia Gandhi and to the Prime Minister of India along with the President of India to call for a joint session of the both houses of the Parliament and pass all the Bills required to bring in the reforms in Police Force, Judicial Reforms and all the administrative reforms.

Otherwise the both the governments the Delhi state government and the Central Government has no right to stay in power.
